Our healing lies in our relationship with God. When God performed miracles, He didn't require much work on His part. (Example: Read John 5:1-15)
He needed two things:
Belief
Obedience
So when we seek healing in our lives many times God is telling us to seek Him, to rest in Him, get to know Him and when we develop that relationship, then this is where healing lies.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
John 16:13
The enemy uses our brain to play tricks on us; to convince us that what happened to us we cannot get over it. What the enemy forgot, however, is that God is the one who constructed the inter-workings of our brain and He allows something called neuroplasticity , which allows our brain to bounce back with practice in building new neural pathways, which are connections in the brain. So with the power of the Holy Spirit we can use the tools of healing God created for us to guide us.
Prayer
Meditating on the Word of God
Mindfully experiencing His presence
Praising Him
Worshipping Him
Communication with other believers (Sometimes a believing counselor)
All of these things help us to return our brain to Christ. Offer it up to Him and allow Him to restore us to what we already were. So we don't GET healed; we are RESTORED to what He created in the beginning when "it was good." We are restored to our resting place IN Christ.
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
Isaiah 43:1-2
