Pursue an Encounter with God

encounter:

A meeting, especially one that is unplanned, unexpected, or brief a hostile or adversarial confrontation

I was reading one of my old journals and an entry from March 11, 2021 had at the top a quote:

"Every day is an encounter with me."

A message from God to me that I jotted down in passing and my response to that message was "Lord God it is YOU that I serve." In my review of this message I looked up the definition of encounter and was surprised to find the meaning of the word. It's not as exciting as I initially assumed and I asked myself, is this really what an encounter with My God is like? The TRUTH? YES! An encounter is a mirror reflection of the constant sin in my life that is in direct opposition with God and His plans for me, always being fanned by the enemy for me to pursue the things that God will not and cannot cosign on.

So our daily posture is to purposely pursue a daily encounter with Christ allowing Him to confront the things within our hearts, minds, bodies and souls that are in direct opposition to Him and His glory. This is a journey of epic proportions that is more than worth the spiritual breakdown! Praying for you!
